Did Harriet Green do a good job?
Many in the travel industry were surprised by the departure of Thomas Cook chief executive Harriet Green at the end of November.
After just two years with the company, Green announced she was stepping down as her ‘work was complete’.
She has been credited with growing Thomas Cook’s market capitalisation from £148 million to just under £2 billion and increasing its share price from 14 pence to over 139 pence.
Thomas Cook chairman Frank Meysman said Green had had a highly positive impact on this company.
