Disney stars go stratospheric – – UK agents have their say
Following the relaunch of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida’s online training programme, Disney Stars, in November 2006, a staggering 5,800 UK agents have already logged on and completed the training modules.
Agents completing the updated Intender and Refresher courses, catering for complete beginners and those looking to brush up their existing knowledge, are rewarded with a new, and very popular, concession – the Disney Stars Card – entitling them to free or reduced price entry to the Resort’s four theme parks, water parks and other entertainment areas.
Jeff James, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, UK and Ireland, said: “We are delighted with UK travel agents’ positive response to the improved Disney Stars training programme and have exceeded our target number of completers to date. Agents are taking advantage of their new concession and visiting Walt Disney World Resort with their families and friends to experience the magic firsthand.”
In order to ensure agents are happy with the new programme, Walt Disney World Resort recently undertook a survey amongst completers. The response was very positive with agents agreeing that the programme is simple to navigate and very informative. Most respondents completed the training in under an hour and loved the fact that they could dip in and out between customers without having to start afresh each time.
When asked about their trip to Walt Disney World Resort, those that have already used their concession tickets were only too happy to share their feedback:
Natasha Schmidgall from Virgin Flight Store is a seasoned visitor to Walt Disney World and says: “Orlando is my favourite place to holiday and I have been coming every year for about 15 years. There is always something new to experience.” She added, “I recommend it to anyone who wants lots of fun, great food and a holiday like no other!”
Selena De Courcy from Travel Places raved about her visit saying: “Epcot is quite possibly one of my most favourite places in the world. I had lunch in Italy and just found the whole atmosphere of Epcot to be electric. My favourite attraction was Soarin’. Disney-MGM Studios was also amazing, I went there on the last day of my holiday and what a way to end a fabulous week with the Fantasmic show. Just beautiful.”
Geoff Monk of Global Coach Tours summed up his trip in three words: “Amazing, fantastic, magical!”
