Disneyland worker hospitalized after chemical spill
A Disneyland worker was hospitalized following a chemical spill at the park.
Paramedics and the Anaheim Fire & Rescue Hazardous Material team were sent to the park and one employee was taken to hospital for treatment.
Disneyland Resort spokesperson Jamie Clower said two separate cleaning materials mixed together causing the chemical reaction.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the area was examined by appropriate response teams to ensure the safety of cast members.”
There has been no word on the condition of the affected worker.
It didn’t impact any park operations or guests as it occurred overnight when the park was closed.
Anaheim Police said there were unconfirmed reports a second person was treated at the scene but didn’t require a visit to the hospital.
