Dohop launches Chinese version of Flight Planner
REYKJAVIK – Travel technology company Dohop has released the Chinese version of Dohop.com Flight Planner, which it promotes as “the world’s fastest and most comprehensive flight search engineâ€.
The Chinese version of the Dohop Flight Planner searches 91 airlines servicing the Chinese market, 11 of which are based in China, plus 80 airlines that provide service to and from Japan.
Dohop’s search engine ranks results by a combination of “lowest price and fastest route”.
In total Dohop searches 660 airlines worldwide, including more than 100 low-cost airlines, that fly to more than 3,000 destinations.
Dohop specialises in finding cheap flight connections that include low-cost airlines and “helping travellers discover all the naturally existing connections available that sometimes are not published elsewhere, often resulting in significant savingsâ€.
Frosti Sigurjonsson, CEO and co-founder of Dohop, said, “China represents one of the fastest growing markets for air travel and we are pleased to service Chinese speaking travellers with a flight search engine in their own language.
“The launch of Dohop in Chinese is an important step towards offering a truly global flight search engine.
Dohop holds the Travel Mole Web Awards 2006 for best travel technology and was in 2007 nominated to the Innovator Awards by the Travel Industry Association of America.
