Dolphin and Datalex team success
The joint product offering from Datalex and Dolphin Dynamics for bookings and allocations has been taken up by Travelbag.
The integrated solution will manage bookings and allocations for TravelBag and its sister company, Bridge the World.
The two technology suppliers announced this time last year their intention to work together. Dolphin Dynamics president, Roberto da Re (pictured) told TravelMole: “When we have teamed up with Datalex in the past it has been customer-driven, but this time we are going after customers.”
Datalex provides its BookIt Fares land rates engine, which manages large numbers of rates, and allocations based on travel supplier contracts for hotels, car rental, insurance, attractions and packages.
Once the booking is confirmed, the Dolphin for Windows system manages the fulfillment of the booking, payment collection, reconciliation, customer relation management and travel accounting. The two products communicate via XML.
The product does not have a brand name, and Mr da Re said there were no plans to develop one at this stage. He also said that the two companies were in talks with other interested parties, but no-one he could mention at the moment.
