Dolphin Dynamics unveils new tour operator system
A new tour operator platform is to be released by technology provider Dolphin Dynamics.
The integrated end-to-end solution is designed to be scalable to support a high volume of real time product searches and transactions across multiple distribution channels, the company claimed.
The move by Dolphin comes after more than ten years of supplying travel agents with technology solutions.
The official launch is planned for London’s Travel Technology Show next February, but the first phase is due for release next month, enabling users to load contracts and quote itineraries in time for the January peak selling season.
Dolphin Dynamics president Roberto Da Re said: “The dramatic pace of change in the travel industry is driving many traditional travel agencies to move into the full tour operation space in order to thrive.
“We have therefore decided this is the right time to deliver our own tour operator solution, building on the strength of our booking engine and back office automation technology.
“With this new innovation Dolphin will offer a fully integrated, single view platform – from booking engine to POS and ground database to mid and back office. We believe we can deliver the most comprehensive and flexible multi-channel tour operator solution on the market.”
Integration with the company’s TravelScanner sales module enables users to search, compare and combine locally contracted rates with dynamic content provided via XML interfaces to a range of suppliers of hotel inventory, as well as low cost carriers, scheduled flights and other ground products, Dolphin said.
