Doubletree latest hotel chain entering high-tech battle
Doubletree says its 40,000 guestrooms now all offer high-speed internet access.
That means more than two million square feet of meeting space across the chain’s collection of more than 150 hotels in North America have internet access.
The chain says it is also launching a “Take Five Technology Solution.”
Said Dave Horton, senior vice president — brand management:
“The launch of our Take Five Technology Solution, which is just one part of the more than $375 million of product and service enhancements currently underway, demonstrates the collective commitment by our brand team and hotel owners to reward Doubletree’s guests with a new refurbished hotel experience.”
The new technology is backed by a 24-hour, toll-free customer support line and Wi-Fi in public areas. There’s also 24-hour remote guest printing services.
Business hotels in recent months have increasingly turned to high-speed internet access and other technical upgrades to be more competitive.
