Eastern and Oriental Express unveils new excursions
Belmond owned luxury train operator Eastern & Oriental Express has unveiled updated itineraries for 2017-2018 along the iconic Singapore-Bangkok route.
E&O is introducing additional activities at station stops in Thailand and Malaysia.
Beginning in September 2017, there will now be three options to choose from in Kanchanaburi , Thailand.
In addition to the existing Classic tour, there is a cycling tour of Nong Kao village which includes a demonstration at a local Thai farm, and culinary tour which comprises visits to a wet market and rice noodle house followed by a Thai cooking class aboard a river raft on the River Kwai.
For 2018 E&O has revamped its excursions in Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia.
Replacing the previous city tour, train guests can now enjoy authentic experiences with two new options.
These include the Traditional Village Experience with a martial arts dance demonstration and food tasting, or a hill trek with an expert naturalist.
The Eastern & Oriental Express features an observation car, restaurant car, bar car with live entertainment and four luxury cabin categories.
