Easyjet launches new Portugal route
Easyjet will launch flights from Newcastle to Faro this winter, its 15th route from the airport.
The new service will start on November 1 and operate on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday before becoming daily in summer 2006.
Fares start at £24.99 one-way.
Newcastle Airport marketing manager Sue McClellan: “We have received many requests from people living in the North East for a low cost route. Easyjet’s announcement meets those demands.”
She even claimed people in Portugal have been calling for a link between Faro and Newcastle.
