EasyJet to launch new flights from Manchester
EasyJet has launched three new routes from Manchester Airport for next summer, all of which have gone on sale today.
The airline will base two more aircraft at Manchester to operate the new flights to Paris, Milan Malpensa and Olbia in Sardinia.
The additional services will give easyJet 43 destinations from Manchester, where it will have a total of 11 aircraft.
Across the new routes, the airline is expected to fly 5000 passengers a week from the airport throughout next summer, operating nine times a week to Paris, up to seven flights a week to Milan Malpensa and twice a week to Olbia.
Manchester Airport commercial director Stephen Turner said: "It’s fantastic news that easyJet is expanding for Summer 2016.
"Olbia is an exciting new scheduled route for Manchester Airport and provides greater access to Sardinia for our passengers.
"Milan and Paris are both hugely popular destinations, and this announcement strengthens the airline’s offering from the UK’s global gateway from the North."
