Educationals on offer for the first time
The independent AITO tour operator, Cottages to Castles, announced that it will be running three educational trips to Tuscany in April and May 2007. Invitations will soon be going out to selected travel agents.
The three day trips will cover the viewing of many of the operator’s quality properties in the Chianti area between Florence, Siena and Pisa. A wine-tasting at a Chianti farm and the sampling of local Tuscan delicacies, in characteristic restaurants and trattorias, will also be included.
Gerry Smith, Sales Manager at Cottages to Castles, says, “We’ve never done agent educationals before but with our retail bookings running at around 67% up on the same time last year, we felt that now is the time. It’s further proof of how committed we are to the retail trade.”
For 2007 the operator launched off-season short break villa stays of 3 nights or more and these educational trips will also show agents how attractive and convenient a short stay in a villa or apartment can be.
Self-catering and hotel bookings with Cottages to Castles earn agents 15% commission and prices start at £140 per person for a two-person apartment for a week in Le Marche.
