Efteling to build new holiday village
Dutch theme park Efteling is to invest around €30 million in the construction of a new holiday village.
The village will be on an eight-hectare site bordering the park, Efteling Golf Park and the Loonsche Land nature district.
Work will begin before the end of this year and the first guests are expected to arrive in the early part of 2017.
Once the new accommodation opens, Efteling will offer a total of 3,000 beds – 450 in the Efteling Hotel, 1,550 in Efteling Village Bosrijk holiday park and a further 1,000 in the new holiday village.
The accommodation is part of a plan to encourage more overseas visitors to the park, particularly from the UK.
