Emirates makes fuel surcharges commissionable
Emirates Airline highly values its relationship with the Australian Travel Industry and announces that effective 01 April, 2006 it will pay full agent commission inclusive of airfare fuel surcharges and gross published airfares.
Travel Agent commission levels for both the fuel surcharges and gross published airfares will continue to be paid at 9% commission to all online Emirates destinations, including New Zealand.
Unlike some other airlines, Emirates also continues to absorb the credit card merchant fees charged when ticketing all gross published fares via GDS, and this will also continue when fuel surcharges are included.
Travel Agents can simply and easily ticket directly from their GDS if they hold an Emirates plate, for all Emirates retail fares. It is also possible to access fares globally and, if issuing e-tickets, avoid PTA charges.
Emirates Airline would like to reassure all Australian Travel Agents that they have its continued support and that the level of commission paid on gross published fares has not and will not be reduced in the foreseeable future.
For further information on Emirates ticketing, via GDS, Travel Agents should call 1300 880 599 or visit www.ekagents.com/au.
