Emirates has announced a number of management changes to its Commercial Operations department.

Ninety percent of the appointments have been awarded to Emiratis, all of whom originally started their careers with Emirates’ UAE National Commercial Management Programme.

“Promoting from within and shifting portfolios helps to stimulate new ideas and generate a fresh approach to growth," said HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and CEO, Emirates Airline & Group.

Changes to the existing commercial team include the regional rotation of Richard Jewsbury, from senior vice president Far East and Australasia to SVP Europe and Russian Federation.

Salem Obaidalla has been appointed as SVP Commercial Operations Far East and Australasia.

Other moves:

Majid Al Mualla appointed SVP Commercial Operations GCC, Middle East and Iran
