Emirates signs tourism promotion pacts with three Indian Ocean nations
Emirates has signed new tourism promotion agreements with three top Indian Ocean destinations.
It inked MOUs at the Arabian Travel Market 2023 with Tourism Seychelles, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
All three agreements reaffirm its commitment to the island-nations and initiatives to promote tourism.
The Seychelles
Emirates has been serving Seychelles since 2005.
The airline renewed of a decade-long partnership to promote tourism and broaden its appeal across Emirates’ global network.
It outlines activities to boost visitation including trade shows, Fam trips, exhibitions, and workshops.
Emirates will also support Tourism Seychelles’ Lospitalite Lafyerte Sesel award programme, which recognises top operators and individuals for service standards.
Emirates currently operates two daily flights to the island-nation.
Mauritius
Now in its 10th year of partnership with Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), Emirates’ latest agreement includes initiatives designed to promote tourism and trade.
The renewed partnership will see the airline promote Mauritius through its network of agents in key markets, and develop special packages.
Last year the airline celebrated 20 years flying to Mauritius.
Sri Lanka
Emirates has pledged renewed support to promoting tourism in Sri Lanka.
The new MOU details developing programmes to boost tourism with special packages tailored to new and existing traveller segments, and Fam trip collaborations.
Emirates launched its services to Sri Lanka in 1986 and has carried more than 11 million passengers.
