End of Niche Cruise Alliance
Specialist cruise trade marketing consortium the Niche Cruise Alliance has been dissolved after three years.
Members of the alliance were African Safari Club, Hurtigruten, Venice Simplon Orient Express, RMS St. Helena, Star Clippers and Viking River Cruises
The six members have decided that the original objectives of have been met and agents are much more familiar with the individual organisations within the alliance.
Co-operation between the member companies will continue on specific projects such as training opportunities and joint marketing initiatives.
The final project was completion of a joint training website for agents at www.nichecruisealliance.com.
Spokespman Iain Cottam said: “The members have had a very successful three years and feel that they have all benefited enormously from being part of the alliance in addition to the contacts they have made. Niche cruising has increased by +30% and this should be a tribute to the organisations involved. The alliance leaves a legacy that stands us in good stead to fulfil future demand”.
