End of the road for Rewards Pass
“While RewardPass has many positive features, including free membership, the program has not performed to expectations since it was introduced in December, 2004,” the company said in a statement.
“RewardPass has proved costly and has not delivered visible benefits to the company or the overwhelming majority of its customers.”
With these few words Flight Centre ditched its much heralded customer incentive and loyalty program effective last Friday. Redemption conditions will be amended to allow members to use their entitlements within the next 12 months.
Flight Centre reportedly spent $1 million to establish the RewardPass program, which covered all of Flight Centre’s products.
The Mole understands that as many as 1.5 Million cards were produced in anticipation of a consumer stampede to branches and a launch into New Zealand late in 2005.
