All business class carrier Eos has reported improved advance bookings as it prepares to go double daily on the Stansted-New York route.

The airline, which operates Boeing 757s with just 48 seats, said bookings for September were running 63% up on the previous three month average.

The airline starts twice daily flights from tomorrow (Friday) with departures to JFK from Stansted at 10.40 and 19.00, arriving in New York at 13.25 and 21.45 local time respectively. Flights from New York depart at 19.15 and 21.00, arrving in Stansted at 07.40 and 0900.

Eos will offer two flights a day on Sundays to Fridays with a single service on Saturdays.

Airline founder David Spurlock said: “JFK departures allow a full day in both cities, while London Stansted departures uniquely maximise your daytime hours. The morning flight from London also allows you to hold a business meeting in the Eos Suite and arrive in New York mid-day, while the evening flight offers the option to relax and recharge at the end of a busy work day.”
