Business class-only carrier Eos has recruited former Royal Caribbean Cruises president and chief operating officer Jack Williams as CEO.

He will assume the CEO title from David Pottruck, who will continue as chairman of Eos. The airline’s founder and chief strategic officer David Spurlock will maintain his current responsibilities.

The airline is also raising its twice-daily Stansted-New York schedule to three flights a day on peak travel days from April 15. The airline runs 48-seat Boeing 757s on the route.

Williams, who also spent 23 years at American Airlines before working for eight years until 2005 at Royal Caribbean, said: “To be with a category defining brand in the airline business is a rare opportunity.”

Pottruck added: “Now that we are prepared to take the next steps in our development, we are extremely fortunate to add a travel industry veteran with Jack’s track record of airline and luxury travel success.”
