Ex-TUI boss joins non-exec board of online travel agent
Dermot Blastland, the former MD of TUI Travel, has been appointed non-executive director at online travel agent loveholidays.com.
The company has also appointed Matthew Lawson, previously head of conversion at AO.com, as director of eCommerce.
Loveholidays.com, which won Best Travel Agent Site at this year’s TravelMole Web Awards, was set up in 2012.
"When loveholidays.com was merely a concept on paper we came up against backlash from many industry professionals expressing doubt over whether it would work and succeed," said CEO and founder Alex Francis.
"However since then we have gone from strength to strength and the addition of Dermot and Matthew will help cement the company’s ability to continue this trend."
