Expanded website for Bed and Breakfasts Guide
Accommodation website www.bedandbreakfastsguide.com has been revamped.
A series of changes to make the search and booking processes easier for the users have been introduced by operator Bed and Breakfasts Guide.
The site has been given a visual makeover to present a more modern and dynamic appearance.
The back-end functions have been improved to make it easier for bed and breakfast owners to input and update information about their properties.
The company has also added additional inventory, moving beyond the traditional B&B sector to incorporate both independent and chain hotels.
Partner David Martin said: "Watch this space, as we anticipate further content to be added to the site soon, including lodges, cottages, mobile homes and even boats.
“It is our intention to offer the widest possible range of accommodation to the consumer, at a time when it is most needed.”
The moves follow the appointment of David Lyne as chairman at the beginning of the year to provide the business with strategic focus.
Further site launches are expected to follow in the coming months.
Nigel Harris, one of the partners which owns the site, said: “At a time when both domestic and international consumers are looking for the best-value budget accommodation for their holidays, and business travellers are increasingly looking to save money by booking lower-cost alternatives, we have seen a marked increase both in visitors to the site and bookings generated.
“We have seen record traffic and revenues in every month this year, and, having responded to the expressed wishes of our clients and suppliers by improving the functionality and appearance of the site, we are confident this trend will continue as demand for UK holidays increases.”
