Expedia spin-off approved by shareholders

Shareholders of internet conglomerate IAC/InterActiveCorp approved Tuesday the spin-off of Expedia Inc. as a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq.
IAC, who’s Chairman and CEO is Barry Diller, will continue to own and operate their other internet properties, which include HSN, Ticketmaster, Web-based guide Citysearch, LendingTree, Match.com and Evite.com.
