Falls Creek gives some great winter skiing tips

The Falls Creek Chamber-owned Central Reservation Winter Brochure includes a couple of very helpful glossy tear-out pages.

One has a very comprehensive page on how to get there including, child care tips, don’t forget the antifreeze, that diesel vehicles should be filled with Alpine Mix fuel and you have to carry chains (can be picked up at the foot of the Bogong High Plains Rd at Mt Beauty).

The other side of the page features the Snow Rewards Card which you remove and can be presented throughout the resort, with the Falls Creek Snow Rewards Card attracting benefits that range from a complimentary glass of wine, $50 Bar Vouchers and 25% off demo ski hire.

Throughout the well-designed, easy-to-follow brochure there is lots of good information (and sensational snowy pics) about the alpine resort and what it has to offer.

A focus on particularly relevant information such as where you can rent snow equipment, how the resort takes care of kids, where do you go if you are just starting out, where the family-friendly apres ski action (including Free Pete the Snow Dragon Shows), where you acquire a comprehensive cross-country guide and last but not least how to book a memorable winter holiday.

Affordable winter experiences include:

‘Borders Delight’: Two nights B&B Lodge with indoor pool & Sauna, two breakfasts two day lift pass and snowboard rental. Based on 4-5 share at $475.00 per person. Valid June & September 2007.

‘Family Fun’White Space Special: Three nights Lodge Style Ensuite Room, STD Family Room Two adults  Two children (between 6-14 yrs), breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. Also included 2 x 3 day Adult ski lift, 2 hr lesson and rental package. Plus 2 x 3 day Junior Workshop for kids (6-14 yrs) and skis, boots and poles,kids are with the instructor all day. Total price $2596.00. Valid 10 -22 June 2007.

‘Weekend Away’Twin’: share B& B staying at award-winning B&B Lodge. Included two nights, Double or Twin share room with ensuite and TV, in-house pool, bar and restaurant facilities. Also includes Resort Entry and Oversnow Transfers. Total Cost $717.60. Valid 8-14 June and 16 September until the end of  the 2007 season.
