Fans plan trip to World Cup ahead of qualification
British football fans are already planning their trip to the 2014 FIFA World Cup even though all of the UK teams have yet to qualify for the championships, according to hotel comparison website Trivago.
It said Brits accounted for almost 30% of all hotel searches made during June, July and August for any Brazilian city from mid-June to mid-July next year when the World Cup will be staged at 12 venues across the country.
The next highest searches came from Germany, which accounted for 21.9% and the USA with 14.2%.
Trivago said hotel prices are likely to soar during the World Cup period.
