FCM Travel launches female traveller safety scheme in India

Wednesday, 01 Apr, 2016 0
Travel management firm FCM Travel Solutions has launched a first of its kind ground transfer safety initiative in India for female travellers.

The scheme offers a number of defined protocols to ensure women are picked up and delivered safely to their destination.

FCM is the only travel management company to have such a program in India, says James Kavanagh, general manager of FCM Travel Solutions Australia.

"At FCM, we are focused on our customers’ safety at all times, and in particular on the safety of our female travellers. This exclusive women’s safety programme operates from 7pm to 7am and includes offerings tailored to ensure the safety and security of travellers after hours."

Female travellers are given assistance to their vehicles and will be contacted during the trip to ensure there are no issues.

They will then be contacted on arrival to confirm they are safely at the requested destination.

FCM said it is also considering the possibility of providing security guards in transfers on demand and the option of requesting a female driver.

FCM Travel Solutions operates a network of offices with a presence in more than 90 countries, employing over 6,000 people.
