Federation of ASEAN Travel Associations joins World Travel Agent Alliance
The Federation of ASEAN Travel Associations (FATA) has joined as a member organisation of the World Travel Agents Associations Alliance (WTAAA).
FATA represents more than 7,700 travel agents across 10 southeast Asian countries.
Its inclusion significantly expands WTAAA’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
“FATA’s addition expands the organisation’s unified voice for the travel agency sector worldwide,” said Otto de Vries, Executive Director of WTAAA.
“By combining our resources and collective expertise, we can advocate more effectively for the interests of travel agencies serving the ASEAN region.”
FATA serves as an umbrella body for Southeast Asia’s national travel associations, and is a advocacy platform for addressing regional tourism issues and challenges.
Its key objectives are fostering cooperation among members and building strong partnerships.
“WTAAA’s global scale and expertise will complement FATA’s local insights as we collaborate to shape a sustainable, agent-friendly travel industry,” said Pauline Suharno, President of FATA.
“This alliance comes at an important time as our sector focuses on supporting economic revival in the region.”
