Ferry sinks in Solomon Islands
A ferry on the Solomon Islands sank earlier today with at least 200 people on board.
The inter island ferry linking the islands was travelling from Honiara to Malaita.
A search and rescue operation is underway.
The Foreign Office said those needing consular assistance should contact the British High Commission in Honiara.
The Solomon islands are islands in the Pacific, east of Papua New Guinea, popular with tourists and known for its diving.
