Five die after collision with elephants on Thai safari
Five people were killed and two were injured when a safari convoy collided with three wild elephants in a game reserve in Thailand.
One vehicle with four people came off the road after hitting an elephant in the Khao Anglunai Wildlife Preserve, close to the border with Cambodia, killing the male driver and a female passenger.
A third passengers died later in hospital.
The elephant suffered a broken leg and was later put down by vets.
Seconds later, a pick-up truck rammed into the back of another vehicle, killing the driver of the pick-up and one female passenger in the vehicle. Two others were injured.
The nationality of the dead and injured is not known.
