Flair Airlines unveils first US routes
Canadian low cost carrier Flair Airlines is the latest to offer cheap transborder service to the US.
Following WestJet-backed ULCC Swoop’s recent announcement of flights to major US tourist hotspots, Flair will launch 11 new seasonal nonstop routes.
Flair’s Edmonton International Airport hub will connect Las Vegas Phoenix/Mesa, Palm Springs International, Orlando and Miami.
It will also fly to Las Vegas, Phoenix/Mesa, Orlando and Miami from Winnipeg and from Toronto to Miami.
US service kicks off on November 9 with the Edmonton-Las Vegas route, while the other flights begin from December 15.
"Having brought low fare service to 10 Canadian cities this summer, we are now taking the show on the road and heading south to some of the most popular winter getaway spots. Escaping the great Canadian winter will cost a lot less this year," said Flair executive chairman David Tait.
Flair’s currently operates a fleet of seven Boeing 737-400s, with two additional jets arriving later this year and more in 2019.
The airline says introductory fares will start at $99 from Winnipeg or Edmonton to Las Vegas.
