Flights to France cancelled – again
Flights to and from France are cancelled again today due to another strike by French air traffic controllers.
Half of flights to and from Paris Orly and a third of all flights to other French airports have been grounded.
Ryanair has cancelled 200 flights while Southampton-based Flybe has cancelled some flights between Birmingham, Manchester and Southampton and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Flybe said all other flights to France would operate normally.
British Airways has warned of delays and disruptions to its services to France due to the strike, the latest in a series of stoppages as French workers protest about the increase in retirement age to 62.
Flights to Charles de Gaulle airport were also disrupted yesterday due to a strike by refuelling staff. Airlines operating short hops to France have been told to carry enough fuel for return trips.
