Flybe adds flexibility for business travellers

Monday, 27 Oct, 2015 0

Flybe is trying to make its flights more attractive to business travellers by increasing the flexibity of its Get More fare so that passengerscan change to earlier or later flights on the original date of travel without incurring additional charges.

Passengers can turn up at the airport on the date of their flight and swap to an earlier flight if seats are available.

If they want to swap to a later flight, Get More ticket holders must call Flybe at least an hour before the departure of their original flight.

For day-return journeys, same-day changes can be made to both the outbound and/or return flight.

Flybe said changes should be especially popular with business travellers. Currently, 40% of the airline’s passengers are flying on business.

The Get More tickets also include 20kg of hold luggage, advance standard seat selection, loyalty reward points and SMS booking confirmation.

The difference between the cost of Get More and standard fares varies, but for flights from London to Aberdeen on November 10 a Just Fly standard ticket costs £60.49 one way compared to £83.49 for the flexible fare, giving a difference of £23 one way.
