Flying Club members get double Tier Points for Virgin packages
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members are getting new perks and an accelerated option to advance their loyalty status when booking with holiday brand Virgin Atlantic Holidays.
In November 2021, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club says it was the first UK loyalty programme to award Tier Points for customers booking holidays, and now aims to go further, making it easier to achieve Silver and Gold status.
It combines double tier points with a bonus based on spend.
Customers booking a Virgin Atlantic Holiday will receive double Tier Points. This is available for every holidaymaker travelling on that booking.
The lead booker will receive 200 bonus Tier Points if they spend £4,000 or more on a Virgin Atlantic Holiday booked until 30 September 2025.
This means that if the holiday includes Upper Class flights, then everyone travelling will receive Silver status.
If the holiday includes Premium or Economy Delight flights and is worth £4,000 or more then the lead booker will receive Silver status.
Anthony Woodman, VP, Flying Club & CRM, Virgin Atlantic, said; “Finding ways to make Flying Club even more rewarding never stops, which is why it’s now time to double up on our benefits.”
“Every member should feel valued and I’m delighted that anyone enjoying a holiday will double their tier points, reaching status even faster.”
Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club offers three tiers, Gold, Silver and Red.
Both Silver and Gold status offer perks such as Premium or Upper Class check in, priority boarding and anytime seat assignment,
There is also access to Clubhouses for Gold Card holders.
Meanwhile, Red Tier members can board first in the Economy cabin and holidaymakers qualify for free plane seat selection seven days before departure on all Virgin Atlantic Holidays bookings, for the entire party.
To achieve Silver status, members need 400 Tier Points, with 1000 tier points needed for Gold.
