Foreign correspondents to speak at Just a Drop fundraiser

Friday, 30 Jan, 2017 0

Award-winning foreign correspondents will talk about their experiences reporting from some of the most challenging environments around the world at a Just a Drop fund-raising event on February 2.

Christina Lamb OBE, best-selling author of ‘I am Malala’, the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen and Matthew Price of Radio 4’s Today programme will take part in Danger, Deadlines and Frontlines: A glimpse into the lives of foreign correspondents Just a Drop annual lecture.

It will take place London’s Royal Geographical Society from 7.30pm.

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A, chaired by Stephen Sackur, BBC HARDTalk presenter, and Just a Drop Charity Patron.

All proceeds from the evening will go to Just a Drop, the international water development charity working to provide communities in remote and challenging environments across the world with access to clean safe water and sanitation.

This year’s event follows the success of the charity’s 2016 lecture, Life Behind the Lens with wildlife producers Patrick Morris and Huw Cordey.

Tickets cost £15 and are available here.
