Forever Resorts earns EPA award
Twenty-three Forever Resorts and its corporate headquarters have been nationally recognized from EPA’s Performance Track for the success of their environmental management system (EMS) programs.
One of the reasons: last year, Big Bend National Park in Texas recycled nearly 43,000 pounds of plastic, aluminum, magazines, newspapers, paper, cardboard and glass.
Other Forever Resort properties in Washington and Wyoming are utilizing sustainable and organic cuisine entrees in their menus. “Chefs at each location are taking advantage of sustainable fish alternatives, use local produce and prepare dishes with fresh organic ingredients,” says Forever Resorts in a news release.
Forever Resorts has operated properties in national parks, recreation areas, national forests and other vacation destinations since 1981. The company was the first multi-site marina, hospitality and lodging operator in the US to earn the International Organization for Standards 14001 certification for all its domestic operations.
