Former Monarch director joins Responsible Travel
Former Monarch director Tim Williamson has taken up the newly-created role of content and marketing director at Responsible Travel.
Williamson had previously served 18 months as a non-executive director on the Responsible Travel board.
He will start his new role on December 1.
Managing director and co-founder Justin Francis said: "Tim’s appointment and the expansion of our management team comes at an exciting time for the business and the wider responsible tourism agenda. Authentic travel is one of the biggest trends in travel.
"Tim’s extensive experience will ensure we are best positioned to accelerate business growth and demonstrate how responsible travel is the future of global tourism".
Williamson said his role was to further Responsible Travel’s expansion, ‘delivering on both profits and principles’.
"Responsible travel is no longer a niche option and I’m looking forward to increasing its’ profile via this exciting and dynamic digital business," he said.
Prior to his role as director of customer experience and marketing at Monarch Airlines, Williamson was CEO of The Travel Department in Ireland, customer director at TUI UK, and an ABTA board director who chaired their Sustainable Tourism Committee and the Travellife Board and steering committee.
He is also co-founder of Development Squared, a business-mentoring organisation.
