Four Seasons signs luxury Jeju Island resort
Luxury hospitality group Four Seasons Hotels is checking in to the South Korean holiday hotspot of Jeju.
Four Seasons inked a deal with Landing Jeju Development Co to bring a new 240-unit hotel to Jeju Shinhwa World, a landmark integrated resort complex.
It will feature guest rooms, suites and exclusive villas along with multiple restaurants and bars, meeting space and a luxury spa.
"Korea is an important market for luxury leisure and business travellers. We are pleased to be extending our presence with a new resort experience on Jeju Island to complement our urban property in Seoul," said J. Allen Smith, CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
"Landing International has an incredible vision for Jeju Shinhwa World. We look forward to working in partnership with them to create a world-class Four Seasons resort on Jeju Island."
Jeju Shinhwa World has been opening in phases since early 2017 and will comprise a range of leisure amenities including a waterpark, theme park, casino and entertainment centre.
The hotel is slated to open its doors by 2019.
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts currently has 105 hotels and resorts open in 43 countries.
