France ATC strike postponed

Monday, 06 Oct, 2025 0

The French air traffic controllers’ strike planned for this week has been called off.

Union SNCTA announced the suspension of the strike which was planned for Tuesday to Thursday.

The strike has been postponed after talks with the Civil Aviation Authority and an ‘agreement ‘with the ATC management.

The union is seeking increased pay and conditions.

The SNCTA said it ‘made progress on internal issues’ but hasn’t disclosed what these are.

“No new strike notice date is planned,” the union added.

The air traffic controllers had originally planned a September walkout but pushed it back to this week.

The union had accused bosses of ‘humiliating management methods.’

It was also seeking inflation adjusted pay.

“Discussions must continue in order to improve the performance of French air traffic control, which currently remains below expectations,” the transport ministry said.
