Fred. Holidays unveils new South America river cruise and rail trip
Fred. Holidays has launched a new South America river cruise and rail itinerary.
It features AmaWaterways’ new Colombia river cruise on the Magdalena river and a luxury rail journey to Machu Picchu.
The 16-night ‘Columbia By River & Luxury Machu Picchu Rail & Sail’ trip starts with an overnight in Cartagena followed by a seven-night river cruise.
It takes in Palenque, the first free city in Colombia.
Upon disembarking in Barranquilla, guest then fly to Lima (via Bogota) for a two-night stay at the Belmond hotel including a guided tour of the city.
Then follows a short flight to Cusco, in the heart of the Andes.
After a two-night stay, guests board the Hiram Bingham, A Belmond Train for the rail journey from Rio Sagrado station up to Machu Picchu.
The itinerary includes a half-day tour of Cusco.
There are two departures on 20 June 2024 and 4 July 2024 with prices from £12,999 per person.
It includes return flights from London (regional flights on request); transfers; hotels, river cruise, tours and excursions and more.
