Freedom launches new division to poach independent agents from rival consortia
Independent agents’ consortium Freedom is launching a new division in a bid to attract members of Advantage, Worldchoice and Global who have become frustrated and confused about the direction their existing consortium is taking.
Called Freedom Independent Choice, the division allows members to retain control of their own cashflow, bank account and ABTA membership.
General manager Trevor Davis has written to independent agents across the UK inviting them to join.
“The merger of Advantage, Worldchoice and Global, as well as changes at Midconsort mean, agents no longer have the same choice in who to ally themselves with and get the best help and advice for their businesses in today’s challenging travel market.
“At Freedom Independent Choice there are no politics – just good commercial sense and negotiating clout.”
Trading as a division of the Freedom Travel Agents Consortium, the new organisation will offer members free front and back-office technology and access to dynamic packaging software.
Members also get access to group-wide commercial terms, an intranet with the latest deals, and access to low-cost business insurance cover if required.
