G Adventures founder hit by Russia sanctions
G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip had Russia sanctions imposed.
He is one of 200 prominent Canadians penalised in a tit-for-tat move by Russia.
It follows sanctions imposed by Canada.
Poon Tip says he welcomes the sanction against him.
“I welcome this sanction as an opportunity to speak out about the the war against Ukraine.”
“I will continue to support the further sanctioning of Russia.”
G Adventures cancelled all tours in Russia, and refused to accept bookings from Russian agencies.”
“We have always said travel can be the fastest path to peace.”
I’ll wear [Russia sanctions] as a badge of honour,” says Poon Tip.
