Galileo renews Uniglobe Diamond GDS provider pact
Galileo International has renewed a deal to provide GDS services to expanding northern business travel agency Uniglobe Diamond Travel.
The Cendant-owned GDS has extended an existing agreement with Diamond, which has operations centres in Warrington and Telford, for a further three years.
The deal includes the Northenden Travel Group, recently acquired by Diamond to gain an entry into the leisure travel sector. Northenden includes Cheshire Travel Centre, tour operating brands Australia Gateways and Far East Gateways, specialist sports division Fan Fare Events and seat-only operation FlightSeats.
Diamond Travel managing director Nigel Schofield said: “The new deal we have signed with Galileo will both speed up and significantly enhance the range of services we can offer our clients in the future.”
