Galileo signs Lastminute deal
Lastminute.com’s corporate hotel booking agency First Option has signed a deal with Galileo.
The five-year agreement sees First Option get access to Galileo’s RoomMaster service in addition to other content from Galileo’s parent company, Cendant. This also includes Galileo’s “Best Available Rate” programme, which offers unrestricted rates in over 9000 hotels, including Hilton and Inter-Continental properties.
Stockport-based First Option predominantly serves corporate and government markets, making around 250,000 hotel bookings per year.
Commenting on the deal, Lastminute.com Business Travel head of commercial, Ricky Kapoor, said: “Amongst all the GDS providers, Galileo proved to be strategically the best technology and hotel content partner for First Option. Their professional approach and senior management commitment was also a leading factor.
