Gatwick strike threat
Gatwick Airport workers who help passengers with reduced mobility are to vote on strike action in a row over pay.
The ballot opens on Thursday and closes on March 9.
The union Unite claimed it would take ‘significant strike action’ if there is a yes vote.
It claimed the majority of its 200 members employed by the OCS Group at Gatwick are paid only £7.65 an hour. They have already rejected three separate pay offers in the long-running dispute with the company.
OCS said it was ‘in active discussion’ with the union and hoped for a ‘swift resolution’.
