GBTA calls for nominees who have transformed the industry
The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) is calling for nominations for the new GBTA Spotlight on Transformation recognition program.
Sponsored by Concur, the program will recognize innovative ideas, products, companies, and people who have improved or transformed the travel experience, boosted the effectiveness of travel management or elevated the business of travel.
"The profession of business travel is in an era of rapid innovation and transformation," says a press release announcing the program. "Through this program, GBTA will shine the spotlight on these transformative thought-leaders, companies, and innovations, allowing the business travel community to visualize what it truly takes to thrive in today’s rapidly changing business environment."
Business travel innovation takes many shapes and sizes, from looking at travel data in a whole new way, to making simple policy changes to deliver a better outcome, GBTA says. "Examples occur at every touch point of the travel experience, and generate new revenue streams for travel suppliers, and greater efficiencies and cost savings for the travel buyers."
You can submit an innovative idea, product, company, or person, at gbta.org/spotlight. Winners will be spotlighted at the GBTA Convention in San Diego in August; GBTA Aus/NZ Conference in Melbourne and GBTA Europe Conference in Prague in September; and GBTA Procurement Symposium in Atlanta, Georgia, in October. Recipients will also be highlighted in the Global Business Travel Magazine.
The deadline for initial entries is July 15.
