Gerard Tempest leaves in Carnival restructure
Carnival UK has announced that chief commercial officer Gerard Tempest is to leave the business as part of a restructure.
Carnival UK CEO David Noyes said the new organisational structure would focus on ‘greater brand differentiation and the end to end guest experience’.
A spokeswoman said no further details of the restructure could be disclosed at this stage.
Noyes thanked Tempest for his contribution and leadership.
"In Gerard’s tenure we have seen a significant improvement in our commercial performance. The last year has seen us deliver some spectacular events, most notably Britannia’s naming and Cunard’s 175 celebrations.
"With these events, we have driven forward our business, growing our ticketed revenue and profitability
"I would like to thank Gerard for his contribution and leadership. He leaves both brands well placed to meet their respective challenges over the coming years and I wish him every success in the future."
Tempest joined Carnival UK in December 2012.
