British Airways gives people a chance to own a piece of aviation history
British Airways still appears to be keen to cash in on Concorde, even if the legendary jet is to be retired in a matter of months.
As reported by News From Abroad, the supersonic aircraft will soar gracefully into retirement in October – but BA has now launched a website where fans of the jet can buy a collection of 10 “classic Concorde products”.
The website will offer cufflinks, keyrings, picture frames and money clips, ranging in price from GBP10 to GBP65. Some 20 more products will be made available over the next couple of months.
Martin George, director of marketing at the airline, said: “By launching this website we can enable members of the public, who may not get the chance to fly on Concorde before its retirement, the opportunity to collect their own piece of aviation history.”
Visit the website at www.ba-concordecollection.com.
