GetThere opens Asia base

Sabre Travel Network business, GetThere, has launched its first Asia-based office, to be headed up in Singapore by GetThere’s regional director, Grant Rattray.

GetThere provides travel and meetings management solutions.

GetThere said the investment of resources in Asia will expand its client base in-region “and across the world’s fastest growing corporate environment”.

Said Rattray, “Having a direct presence in Asia will ensure that our mission of providing market-specific solutions to our existing and potential customer bases is realised.”

GetThere has self-booking deployments in 79 countries.

Corporations booked more than US$9 billion in business travel on GetThere in 2009.
