Glamping? Try tramping

Sunday, 19 Apr, 2011 0

With tongue firmly in cheek, Pitchup.com says the glamping trend is over but the latest for hobo holidays is “tramping.”

“Glamping,” of course, is a trend towards luxury camping.

Said Dan Yates, managing Director, Pitchup.com:

“With the surge in popularity of tramping, we’re seeing people wanting to get back to their very basic best. Think dreadlock chic and sharing a toothbrush…in fact, who even needs the toothbrush?”

“In celebration of some fantastic new additions to their camping accommodation offering, Pitchup.com have also fashioned the essential calendar for both aspiring and dedicated tramping enthusiasts. The very best hobo holiday spots of the year have been captured in this luxury calendar that will inspire and delight, all year round,” the site says.

Winner of Best Travel Information Site at the 2010 Travolution awards, Pitchup.com says it is the most comprehensive website in the camping and caravanning sector.
