Global Travel Group makes senior appointment
The Global Travel Group has appointed a head of business development for the first time.
Rhian Herbert, who joins with 18 years’ experience at the Co-operative Travel Group and Thomas Cook, takes the newly-created role.
Global said the new position will ‘allow for enhanced streamlining of the company’s growing membership department and further boost the group’s extensive membership service offerings and ambitious commercial plans’.
Herbert will report directly to managing director Andy Stark and will be tasked with a strategic review of the Group’s existing membership.
Stark explained: "The Global Travel Group is growing rapidly and our diverse breadth of member agents will no doubt benefit from her impressive track record.
"Bolstering our management team is part of our ongoing strategy to ensure that we retain our status as one of the leading travel consortiums in the UK."
