Go West heads north

Trade show, Go West Summit, will be heading north in 2016, hitting Anchorage in February.

Partnering with Alaskan State Visitor Bureau and the local tourism board Visit Anchorage, state tourist boards and suppliers from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, will sell their wares to tour ops and media from around the world.

The 2015 event, held at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, hosted more suppliers and buyers than ever before.

Mary Motsenbocker, president of International Marketing Tourism which runs the show, said: "We are delighted that in 2016 we will be going north to Alaska and are confident that Anchorage will put on a fabulous show for us."

Go West arranges meetings in a speed dating scenario with each one lasting 12 minutes but unlike other shows, the buyers sit down at tables and the suppliers come to them.

Registration for the 2016 event opens on June 1, 2015.
